How can I help my child maintain a healthy weight?

Most children will reach a healthy weight if given proper nutrition and the opportunity to be physically active. To ensure your child receives enough nutrients, simply follow the childrens’ food guide pyramid.
The smallest amount of servings for each food category would be served to preschoolers, with the largest number of servings designated for young teenagers.
To keep children active, make sure they have plenty of opportunity for outdoor activities, such as bicycling, sports, swimming, and outdoor games. In addition, limit computer and television time so that active lifestyle habits are established early on.
